Abedi Pele: My heart is with both Villa and Swansea this weekend

Three-time African footballer of the
year Abedi Ayew Pele says his heart
will be with both Aston Villa and
Swansea City when his two children
take on each other for the first time in
the Barclays Premier League.
Aston Villa will take on Swansea City
at Villa Park this weekend in a game
which pits Andre Ayew with younger
brother Jordan.
The last time both players played
against each other, it was Jordan
who emerged victorious with his two
goals to inspire Lorient to a 5-3
victory at the Stade Velodrome.
That night, Andre also got a goal but
Jordan was the man of the match.
Andre has wasted little time in
settling into life with Swansea after
scoring four goals and an assist in
his first nine games.
Jordan on the contrast has had a
difficult start and is yet to fully
impose himself in the world most
dramatic league. But their father
Abedi Pele says he will be cheering
on both Villa and Swansea and prays
both players get on the score-sheet.
“My heart will be on both teams when
my children are playing against each
other and the next thing is that I pray
both players score for their respective
teams,” Abedi Pele exclusively told
Citi Sports.
He added: “I saw Lorient play against
Marseille in Marseille and Jordan
scored two and Andre scored one. I
was the happiest man on Earth that
day “I always love the fact that they
play against each other and when
they both score, it really makes my
day.”
