Samuel Eto'o, FIFA Medical Chief, Storm Ghana to Launch Health Project

Cameroonian football icon
Samuel Eto'o is set to land in
Ghana next week to launch a
health project.
The four time Africa Player of
Year will launch the project
alongside FIFA medical chief
Prof. Jiri Dvorak.
This comes after Fifa approved
Ghana as the first country in the
world for the fourth leg of the
'Fifa 11 for Health' programme
that trains kids in school to avoid
health problems through various
football drills.
Prof Jiri Dvorak and Eto'o will
launch the programme in Accra
and also address pressing issues
on health in football at a press
conference. Some of the issues
to be addressed by Prof Dvorak
are problems with MRI for U17
players, growth in sudden
deaths in football in Africa, health
research on Ghana football and
how the suspension of Chelsea
physio Eva by Mourinho could
have an effect on health
professionals in football.
This innovative act from FIFA
bodes well for Ghana football and
the wider impact it makes in the
society.
